These terms take effect when your first payment goes through and you receive your first reading.

What you are buying

You are buying a subscription to a daily devotional message: a verse, a reflection and a prayer thought, delivered on WhatsApp, in the language you choose, at the hour you choose. You are paying for content.

Your subscription pays for content. It is not a donation and it is not tax-deductible.

All prices are in rand, per month, and include VAT at 15 percent. All four languages, isiZulu, isiXhosa, Afrikaans and English, are available on every plan.

We do not publish, and these terms do not set out, our internal costs or margins. The price you pay is the price on this page.

Billing

Your first payment starts the subscription. The subscription renews automatically each month on the date of your first payment, for as long as you keep it.

Payment is taken by our payment provider, by card or instant EFT. We do not receive or store your card details.

If a payment fails, we will try again and tell you in the chat. If it keeps failing, we may pause the subscription until payment succeeds. We do not keep billing you by silence.

Cancelling

The subscription runs month to month. There is no fixed term, no minimum period, no lock-in and no cancellation fee.

You can cancel at any time by replying to the chat, or through the contact details on our contact page. Cancellation takes effect from your next billing date. Your readings continue until then, and you are not charged after that date.

You can also pause instead of cancelling, if you want to step away for a season and come back.

Refunds

If a month was fully delivered, we do not refund that month.

If we failed to deliver, for example your reading did not arrive, arrived late, or arrived in the wrong language, we refund the affected period. Tell us in the chat and we will sort it out.

If we cancel the subscription for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we refund any period you have paid for and not yet received.

Delivery

We deliver one message a day, on WhatsApp, at the hour you choose. We aim to send it at the same hour every day.

WhatsApp delivery depends on Meta's service, your device and your network. We cannot promise delivery will never be interrupted by an outage on those systems. When an outage or a fault on our side stops delivery, we restore it as soon as we can and we apply the refund terms above.

Language and audio

Every plan delivers the written reading in isiZulu, isiXhosa, Afrikaans and English. You can change language in the chat.

Audio editions are added language by language. In English, you can choose a South African or an International accent, and a male or a female voice. Audio for a language goes live once the voice and the reading licence for that language are confirmed. The written reading is not affected.

Your privacy and your consent

Subscribing tells us something about your beliefs, which South African law treats as special personal information. We ask for your consent for that when you join, and we keep a record of it.

That is separate from your permission for marketing. You can subscribe without agreeing to receive anything else from us, and you can withdraw that permission at any time.

The privacy page sets out what we hold, why, who else processes it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted.

Prayer-intent terms

These terms apply only to the Prayer-Intent plan.

  1. You send an intention voluntarily, in the chat, and you can withdraw it at any time.
  2. Before your first intention, we ask for your explicit consent to handle it, and we ask you to confirm that you have permission to share any detail about another person. Do not send another person's private details without their permission.
  3. Your intention is carried into a real intercessory practice. Real people pray. The practice is not automated, and we do not run a script over your words.
  4. We do not promise an outcome. We do not promise healing, a breakthrough, an answered prayer or a change in your circumstances.
  5. Your intention is private. We do not publish it, we do not share it with other subscribers, and we do not use it for marketing or for profiling you.
  6. We keep intention content for 90 days after your subscription ends, or 90 days after the intention is actioned, whichever comes first. After that we delete it or remove anything that could identify you.
  7. If we cannot match the lane to a real, operating intercessory practice, we will not take your intention, and we will tell you so.

What you agree not to do

Do not use the subscription to send unlawful, threatening or abusive content, to send another person's private information without permission, or to resell or redistribute the readings. We may end a subscription that is used in those ways, and we will tell you why.

Changes to these terms and to the price

We may update these terms. If a change affects you, we will tell you in the chat before it takes effect.

If we change the price, we tell you before the change takes effect and before your next payment, so you can decide whether to stay. We do not change the price for a period you have already paid for.

Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, which gives you rights to cancel an electronic transaction.

If you have a complaint, contact us first at support@indleladaily.co.za. If we do not resolve it, you can approach the National Consumer Commission or the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud. For a privacy complaint, you can approach the Information Regulator. Contact details are on our contact page.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
